Hi, I’m Michael
What feels like a lifetime ago, a friend asked if I could help with a woodworking project. That opportunity turned into eight years of hands-on experience, where I learned the all the ins and outs of remodeling and carpentry. During that time I found myself drawn most to cabinetry—the balance of precision, creativity, and function—and that passion led me to start Larsen Woodworks in the summer of 2020.
What I love most is the transformation. Taking a space that feels outdated or inefficient and reshaping it into something intentional, functional, and inviting. It’s that process—watching a vision come to life and knowing it will be lived in and appreciated every day—that keeps me engaged in the work.
When I’m not making saw dust, I like to spend my time on a mountain bike or on skis. I’ve been riding and racing most of my life, and it’s given me the chance to meet incredible people and explore some amazing places. My wife and I have taken our bikes on trips all over the world, and now we’re lucky enough to share those experiences with our daughter, Penny.
